Concerts at Palazzo Cucchiari 2016
This year we will present five concerts to animate the summer nights on Palazzo Cucchiari’s stage under the artistic direction of maestro Mario Ancillotti.
On Saturday, July 9th, pieces by Mozart, Debussy and Reinecke will be played by Mario Ancillotti on the flute and Alessandro Marangoni on the pianoforte, accompanied by readings from selected letters written by a young Mozart to his cousin and his father, recited by Milena Vukotic and other extracts from the “Undine” fairytale and Pierre Louÿs’s lyrical poetry that inspired Debussy’s “Six Ancient Epigraphs”. The readings and music will intertwine so the psychological and literary motivations, the basis for poetic and musical inspiration, will be placed on the frontline.
Saturday, July 16th Katerina Valiulina on the violin and Leonardo Bartelloni on the pianoforte will play select pieces by Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Kreisler, Grieg and Saint-Saëns.
Sunday July 24th the soprano Valentina Coladonato accompanied by Luisa Prayer on the pianoforte will perform music and songs from all around the world, from Donizetti to Verdi, Respighi, Falla, Weill, Poulenc, Britten, Rodrigo and Berio.
Sunday, July 31st will be an evening dedicated to “Musical Gastronomy” and pieces by Telemann, Mozart, Rossini, Bach and Tchaikovsky will be performed, among others.
Wednesday, August 3rd – Anna Kravtchenko on the pianoforte will bring to a close this first round of concerts on the musical notes of Chopin, Schumann and Liszt.
All concerts are free of charge and will begin at 9 pm. For information, please call 0585/72355.
