Colors and forms of work: paintings and sculptures by those artists who after the Unification of Italy arranged a new figuration of history, whereby those represented in images are no longer heroes, poets and saints, but ordinary people caught in their daily reality, in the toil of work above all, in the fields and workshops as in the home or workshop, but also in the pain and misery that the lack of work always gives.
